About This Site

Sri Chinmoy Songs is a website dedicated to sharing the songs of Sri Chinmoy. Sri Chinmoy's primary form of composition is the song, a melody with lyrics. The ultimate intention of this site is to provide the site visitor with a broad selection of Sri Chinmoy's songs each with a score graphic, an audio/midi selection, lyrics, translation and miscellaneous notes. Scores are available for several thousand of the songs in the library and we are working on completing this aspect of the site on an ongoing basis.

The primary way to use this site is to search the online catalog for keywords, either words or word fragments contained in the text components of the songs in the library. So a search on a keyword may bring up several songs even though that keyword may be in the lyrics of only one of the found songs. The quick search box is in the upper right of every web page on this site. Alternatively the Advanced Search allows a more finely tuned search on the library.

The Sri Chinmoy Songs Weblog is a forum for updates and other news related to the site. The weblog currently allows moderated comments from the public as a means of getting feedback and suggestions for the ongoing development of this site.
